Hyderabad: Residents of Sainikpuri have decided to clean Kapra Lake of their own accord. Towards this, they will form a five to seven member coordination team.
A proposal to this extent was put forth by local resident, Jason Wilson, who is keen on reviving the lake to its fullest and protecting the water body.
“Every time, there is a meeting about the lake, many people would come forward and give opinions. Now it is time to convert the ideas into action. That is why, I had floated the idea of having a group to tackle such issues,” he said.
The team will include a civil engineer, legal adviser, environmentalist, water treatment expert, immersion pond representative and a person with a political tie-up. This group, he said would work towards protecting the lake and restoring it to its former glory.
