Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday asked the Election Commission (EC) to submit a report on the action taken for removal of duplicate as well as bogus names in the voters list in Andhra Pradesh. The court has asked the AP government to submit the report by by December 11.
A Division bench comprising Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice S.V. Bhatt was hearing a PIL filed by former MLA K. Venkatrami Reddy, urging the court to declare as illegal the inaction of the officials in cleansing the electoral rolls.
