JAC draws up action plan

JAC convener, Ashwathama Reddy, accused the state government of attempting to suppress the movement through the police.

Hyderabad: The TSRTC employees unions’ Joint Action Committee on Sunday announced that it would be holding a ‘Sakala Janula Samme Bheri’ on October 30, as part of the ongoing strike. It is expected to draw around five lakh people.

Leaders of the RTC JAC held a meeting with Opposition leaders at the Sundarayya Vignana Kendram on Sunday and decided on a series of programmes that would be carried out in the coming week as part of the strike action.

JAC convener, Ashwathama Reddy, accused the state government of attempting to suppress the movement through the police. He demanded that the government should hold talks with the workers in accordance with High Court’s instructions.

The meeting was attended by TJS president Prof. M. Kodand-aram, Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, TS TD president L. Ramana and Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti president Manda Krishna Madiga.
