Kakinada: Former Union Minister, MM Pallam Raju, said that the Congress would bring petrol and diesel under the purview of the GST and thus the oil prices would be reduced drastically.
Participating in the “Congress-to-Door-to-Door” campaign at Swamynagar here on Saturday, Mr Pallam Raju said that the Congress would do justice to Polavaram Project victims and the Polavaram Project would be completed with quality work.
He said that the Congress party was working for the welfare of the poor and the development of the country with commitment.
He also said that the Congress had brought an Act for National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme to provide livelihood to crores of people in the country and also an Act for Food Security. Kakinada Rural Constituency Congress in-charge, Nulukurthi Venkateswara Rao, said that nine varieties of essential commodities, including fine variety of rice, would be distributed to the poor through white cards. He requested the people to bring the Congress in to power.
