Govt schools in AP providing world-class learning experiences to students: CM Jagan

Vijayawada: In a significant leap forward in education, the Andhra Pradesh government has entered into a “landmark” partnership with the International Baccalaureate (IB) organisation.
An MoU was signed at the chief minister's office on Wednesday, solidifying the state's commitment to enhancing the quality of education in government schools.
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the aim is to enhance the quality of education in the government schools in AP and ensure that students receive world-class learning experiences. He highlighted the importance of the IB syllabus's global recognition and said the certificates earned by students should hold value anywhere in the world.
While acknowledging the challenges of introducing the IB syllabus, the CM expressed his commitment to providing the ‘best education’ for all students. “This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen school education. It includes renovating schools, digitization, release of bilingual textbooks, incentives for attendance, TOEFL exam training and English-medium education in all schools.
This transformation in education will take time, with visible results expected over the course of a decade. The ultimate goal is to effect radical changes in the lives of the underprivileged and empower them with the best possible education.”
Education minister Botsa Satyanarayana, chief secretary Dr K.S. Jawahar Reddy, education department principal secretary Praveen Prakash, school education commissioner S. Suresh Kumar and other higher officials participated in the programme alongside the IB team.
