Tank Bund project in Buildnext’s list
Hyderabad: The Tank Bund beautification project has turned curious with city-based Buildnext Infracon Pvt Ltd including it in the “our projects” category on the company website while the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority dismissed its claims.
Buildnext Infracon Pvt Ltd, the directors of which include Sumanth Reddy and Vaddireddy Sandeep Reddy, claimed that it has been pioneering the path of urban rejuvenation designing and had expertise in erection and maintenance of ultra-modern, world-class street furniture, footpath gardening and creating modern bus shelters.
“Our projects” category in its website included “Tank Bund, urban street rejuvenation, metro pedestrian landscapes and modern bus shelters”.
When contacted, HMDA chief engineer B.L.N. Reddy said Buildnext had nothing to do with Tank Bund beautification project, making the company’s claims a mystery. The project which according to him cost Rs 19 crore to Rs 20 crore and that KKR Constructions had executed all civil works.
Further, the CE said Urbannext was one of the bidders for the operation and maintenance the tender which was called sometime ago but not yet finalised. Whichever company gets the O&M contract will generate revenue from food courts and other activities and share revenue with the HMDA, he added.
