Customs officials seize gold valued at Rs 13,88,823 at Mangaluru airport
The offender had concealed the 24-carat purity gold valued at 13,88,823 inside a pink and maroon-colored floral designed blanket
Mangaluru: Customs officials seized 293.620-gram gold from a person who tried to smuggle it by hiding it in a blanket.
Officials said the gold was seized at Mangaluru International Airport from a male passenger from Kasargod, Kerala who arrived from Dubai on September 21 at 1 am. He had concealed the 24-carat purity gold valued at 13,88,823 inside a pink and maroon-colored floral designed blanket.
An offense case has been registered.
