I Monetary Advisory scam: CBI grills IAS officer Raj Kumar Khatri

Bengaluru: The CBI, probing the multi-crore I Monetary Advisory (IMA) investment scam, questioned IAS officer Raj Kumar Khatri on Friday.

Mr Khatri, a 1988-batch Karnataka-cadre IPS officer, was summoned after his name came up during the investigation. The CBI questioned him for several hours and recorded his statement before letting him go.

More IAS and IPS officers are likely to be summoned by the CBI, sources said.

Earlier, the CBI has also questioned Chamarajpet MLA and former minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan over the transaction of a property he had with IMA group MD and scam kingpin Mohammad Mansoor Khan.

The CBI took over the Investigation on August 30 on request from the Karnataka government and has already filed the first chargesheet.

The SIT which began the Investigation on June 10 has so far arrested nearly 25 people and recovered movable and immovable assets of the
company.
