Hyderabad: To ensure that the roads are not blocked by idols still queued up for immersion on Monday, the city police will create a special holding area on Necklace Road where idols that reach Tank Bund after 2 am on September 24 will be diverted. The idols will be immersed in the Hussainsagar from the holding area, thereby avoiding traffic jams.
“Communication is the lifeline. A total of 2,900 wireless communication sets have been given to police personnel to share information with senior officials to attend to emergency services,” police commissioner Anjani Kumar said.
