Bengaluru: A day after ‘suspicious object’ created panic among passengers and security personnel in Mangaluru International Airport, a similar objet sparked a scare near a school in JP Nagar on Wednesday morning.
The suspicious looking object was found outside BrookLands Pre-school. It led to panic and the school immediately declared a holiday and alerted the police.
The dog and bomb disposal squad, which were pressed into service, however, found that the suspicious looking object was in fact a dysfunctional and broken power bank, discarded by someone.
The police have obtained CCTV footage from cameras installed on the school premises to check if it was done intentionally to create a scare.
