Bengaluru: The state BJP has come down heavily on PWD Minister, H.D. Revanna for throwing biscuit packets at the victims of the Kodagu floods in Ramanathapura, Hassan district. A video footage of Mr. Revanna throwing biscuit packets at the flood victims had gone viral recently , provoking netizens to demand an apology from him.

Referring to the video clip, BJP general secretary, N. Ravikumr said on Monday that it was shameful that Mr. Revanna, accompanied by MLA, A.T.Ramaswamy, threw biscuit packets at the flood victims instead of handing them over to them. “This is very disrespectful to the suffering people,” he said.

He also hit out at Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for allegedly reading a newspaper during an aerial survey of the floods in Kodagu district on Sunday. “The attitude of both the Chief Minister and his brother shows they don’t have any respect for the people of Kodagu, who have been left homeless by the floods,” he said, demanding an apology both from the Chief Minister and Mr.Revanna for their conduct.
