Osmania University students gherao A Nagarjuna’s house

As a socially responsible persons we request him to come out and make a statement regarding the issue

Hyderabad: Accusing the organisers of the TV programme Bigg Boss-3 of sexual harassment, a group of Osmania University (OU) students on Saturday tried to gherao the house of Telugu film actor A. Nagarjuna. The Jubilee Hills police, who had tightened the security around the house since they received information about the students’ plans, took several of the agitators into custody to maintain peace.

Mr K. Madhu, who had approached the State Human Rights Commission against Bigg Boss-3 and went to Mr Nagarjuna residence long with other students, said, “Actor Nagarjuna is going to host this show. As a socially responsible persons we request him to come out and make a statement regarding the issue (alleged sexual harassment).”

Jubilee Hills police inspector K. Bala Krishna Reddy said, “We have taken 8 students into preventive custody under CrPC section 151 (arrest to prevent the committing of cognisable offences) on Saturday morning.”
