Thiruvananthapuram: Governor P Sathasivam has urged a code of conduct for the campuses in the state. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Nishagandhi Monsoon Ragas Festival here on Saturday. He urged the student unions to sit together for solving the issues in the campuses. The top priority should be given to the welfare of the students, said Mr Sathasivam.
Peace should be restored in the campuses, said Mr Sathasivam. The week long Nishagandhi Dance Fest-ival began at the Kanaka-kkunnu Nishagandhi Audi-torium. Governor P Satha-sivam had summoned Ker-ala University vice-chanc-ellor V.P. Mahadevan Pillai on Friday following complaints submitted by the Opposition delegation.
The vice-chancellor met the Governor to brief him about the steps taken in view of the seizure of answer books from the house of the accused in the murder attempt case at University College.
The Governor directed the vice-chancellor to take immediate corrective steps in the matter on priority basis.
