GHMC calls for road digging proposals

Currently permission has been banned as a precautionary measure during the monsoon.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation instructed all line departments to submit the proposals of all the future development and the number of roads to be dug.

Corporation official said that the road digging ban will be lifted by the end of October while permissions will be issued in November.

GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore also instructed officials to expedite utility shifting in the Strategic Road Development Plan.

He asked them to restore about 400 bus shelters which were removed by the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited. He also asked the city RTC to send proposals for new bus shelters.
