Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday granted time to the NTR University of Health Sciences till Tuesday to submit report on the impact of implementation of GO 550 on reservations while making medical admissions.
A division bench comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice N. Balayogi was dealing with batch of petitions opposing and supporting the GO No. 550 issued by the erstwhile the AP government in the year 2001 to fill up the seats vacated by reserved meritorious candidates with reserved categories.
The bench on Thursday while hearing the case made two suggestions for ensuring the reservation and not sacrificing the merit while making admissions into the medical colleges in AP and Telangana states and asked the counsel for the university to get instructions on the suggestions.
