Telangana: Two cancer patients die as help under CMRF delayed
Hyderabad: A home guard, Mohd Amer, who was reportedly suffering from cancer, died before help from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) could reach his family, Majlis Bachao Tehreek leader Amjedullah Khan claimed on Thursday.
The home guard, according to Mr Khan, was suffering from stomach cancer and was undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the city. His family had sought financial help from the government under the CMRF but he could not get it.
A few days back, according to Mr Khan, an MBA student, Mirza Ahmed Baig of Bholakpur in Musheerabad, died due to mouth cancer. His family also had sought help from the government for his treatment but could not get it.
“Ahmed could not get proper treatment as he was not able to receive assistance from the government and the MBA student died,” Mr Khan said. He demanded that the government release a white paper on how many Muslims had benefitted through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the State.
