Bengaluru: A 37-year-old builder sustained serious injuries when a bullet accidentally went off from his revolver, while he was cleaning the weapon, at his house in Doddanekkundi on Thursday afternoon. Kote Naveenchandra Reddy, a builder and realtor, sustained injuries on his chest and is undergoing treatment at private hospital. His condition is said to be out of danger.
Police said that the businessman had a Wembley .22 licenced revolver with him. Around 12.15 pm, while he was cleaning the weapon with a cloth, he accidentally pulled the trigger.
As he was holding the revolver pointed towards himself, the bullet hit the left side of his chest and exited from back. Hearing the gun shot, his family members and staff rushed and found him unconscious.
“They immediately rushed him to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment in the ICU. Doctors said that he is out of danger, but needs treatment for some days. He is not in a condition to speak and his statement will be recorded once he recovers,” the police added. HAL police have registered a case....
