Hyderabad: Missing girl returns home

The girl had attempted to leave her house earlier this month on July 10 but she was found with her friends.

Hyderabad: A day after the worried mother lodged a complaint with Banjara Hills police station, her 19-year-old daughter called her up and came back home on Thursday evening, after spending a night at the Secunderabad Railway station. The girl, Kajal Mukherji, an Intermediate second year student of Villa Marie College had left her house at Banjara Hills without informing anyone. When she did not return home, her mother lodged a complaint. “When she returned, she told her mother and the police that her reason for leaving the house was because she had scored poorly in her academics”, said the police inspector of Banjara Hills, K. Srinivas.

The girl had attempted to leave her house earlier this month on July 10 but she was found with her friends by the Banjara Hills police on July 15. However, when she went missing again on Wednesday, her mother, Shyama Mukherji, a yoga trainer, lodged a complaint with the police. She stays with her mother and brother in Banjara Hills area. Her parents have separated. “While we were enquiring for her whereabouts, she had called up her mother and had come back home,” added the officials.
