Ataulla Rahman taken to New Delhi

NIA officials took them to these areas to investigate their activities.

Hyderabad: NIA took ISIS man Ataulla Rahman, 30, to New Delhi on Wednesday to question and de-radicalise him. Rahman, who hails from Bandlaguda, had radicalised the other ISIS men by introducing the IS ideology to them. NIA officials suspect that Rahman must have radicalised several other youths from Hyderabad.

NIA said that after motivating the group with all kinds of propaganda, Rahman made the group take Bayah, the oath of allegiance, to IS chief Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi.

“Rahman would be taken to the NIA headquarters in New Delhi for interrogation and de-radicalisation,” an NIA official said.

In its custody petition NIA said it has extracted emails, FB chats and conversation through social media accounts by the suspects with their handlers. NIA officials claimed they have got details of their meeting, collection of funds and radicalisation process.

NIA officials also found that Ibrahim Yazdani and his brother Ilyas had visited Dharur, Ranga Reddy district and Anantharam in Nalgonda in connection with terror plots.

NIA officials took them to these areas to investigate their activities. NIA found the duo were staying in local mosques during their visits
