KT Rama Rao launches Rs 83 crore development works
Hyderabad: Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday inaugurated developmental works worth Rs 83 crore in the Old City including the long pending flyover at Bahadurpura under the Strategic Road Development Plan.
Mr Rama Rao said the six-lane 682-metre flyover will connect Puranapul with Zoo Park. As per estimates, the Rs 69-crore flyover would be completed next year and would resolve traffic problems until 2034.
Later, Mr Rama Rao inaugurated the four-acre Kishanbagh park which has been spread over four-acres. "Once this was a vacant site where residents in the neighbourhood would throw garbage. Now it will be a recreation spot for the residents,” he said.
The project cost Rs 6.2 crore, of which Rs 5. 45 crore were spent on civil works and the rest to develop greenery and other facilities.
Mr Rama Rao also inaugurated road repair works worth '8 crore which is part of under periodical preventive maintenance. The roads from Shalibanda junction to Moosabowli junction and City College to Puranapul crossroads will be repaired, and the GHMC would use rubber modified bitumen to re-top the roads.
