DG&IGP Neelamani Raju says no to cell phones during meetings

Mr Kumarswamy had said that no one should carry mobile phones during meetings or visits as they disturb him.

Bengaluru: Following in the footsteps of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who has asked visitors and officers attending meetings presided over by him not to bring mobile phones, DG&IGP Neelamani Raju too has passed a similar order has asked to her officers and visitors.

The order, dated June 22, states that during the senior officers' review meeting which will be held at her office, mobile phones are prohibited. Visitors and officers have to hand over their phones to a person assigned on the 7th floor of her office.

The order was issued by the DG&IG's office on Wednesday. The meeting will be attended by Mr Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwar. Soon after swearing-in as chief minister, Mr Kumarswamy had said that no one should carry mobile phones during meetings or visits as they disturb him.
