Adilabad: A mother and her son died in a road accident when an APSRTC bus hit them from the rear while they were waiting for their bus at a toll plaza on National Highway-44 near Roll Mamada in Neradigonda mandal on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place when they were waiting to catch a bus to go to visit their home town Kuchulapur, when a bus proceeding towards Kinwat of Maharashtra via Boath from Nirmal town, hit them.
The deceased have been identified as Vanaja, 23, and her one-and-a-half-year-old son Akshay.
Ramanaiah, Vanaja’s husband, had a narrow escape.
