Activists of Telangana ABVP resorts to violence during bandh

Nearly 900 ABVP activists participated in the bandh.

Hyderabad: Activists of Telangana Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have resorted to violence at Delhi Public School in Nadergul Village, Saroornagar on Wednesday, as a part of a state-wide bandh being observed on Wednesday. Nearly 900 ABVP activists participated in the bandh.

Gajula Jeevan, ABVP-city joint secretary, Narayanguda zonal in-charge said, “ABVP is against the policy of the government inviting corporate colleges to the state. This government is backing big shots and private colleges and schools. The promises made by Telangana Chief Minister KCR during the time of Telangana movement remained a dream.”

Javvaji Dileep, City Secretary ABVP said, ‘’It is shameful that the government has gone blind to see the agony of lakhs of parents. We will fight until the government implements the recommendations of the Supreme Court and fix and an upper fees limit. The government is delaying fulfillment of vacant posts. What happened to the promise of free education?”
