Hyderabad: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi raised five questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the withdrawal of the Rs.2000 currency notes. In a serious and sarcasm laced tweet, the Hyderabad MP asked the 'Top Economist PM Modi', whether the Rs.500 currency notes will also be withdrawn. 1. Why did you introduce the 2000 note in the first place?
2. Can we expect 500 note to be withdrawn soon?

The Reserve Bank of India announced withdrawal of the Rs.2000 currency nites from circulation on Friday. The Rs 2,000 currency note was introduced in November 2016, after the withdrawal of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes from circulation.
