Hyderabad: Lack of water stops NIMS’ surgeries
Monday morning as there was no water supply to that unit in the hospital.
Hyderabad: The elective surgeries in the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences for the urology department had to be postponed on Monday morning as there was no water supply to that unit in the hospital, said sources.
While the other blocks had access to water, the block in speciality where the urology department is located had very limited supply of water due to which the air-conditioning and also the other facilities were affected.
A senior doctor at the hospital told this newspaper that, “The shortage of water was conveyed to the water department when it occurred but it could not be restored on time hence the operation theatre in that block had to be closed. The water supply was restored only after late evening.”
