Hyderabad: Haj Committee of India has selected 27 women pilgrims selected under the Mehram category. This provision is provided for those ladies who were not applied earlier along with their Mehram (male relative whom a woman cannot marry) who were already selected.
Telangana State Haj Committee chairman said 81 applications were received from Telangana. Out of which, 78 applicants have been found to be in order. As the Central Haj Committee allotted the quota of only 500 for all states and it received 890 eligible applications. “So it decided to select the applications through draw. From Telangana, 27 fortunate applicants were selected through draw,” the chairman said.
The chairman said selected women applicants will be informed personally and they have to deposit full amount on or before May 30 as per their opted category.
The payment can be made either online at website www.hajcommittee.gov.in or through depositing the amount or cheque in Haj Committee of India account maintained with SBI and UBI from any branch of mentioned banks.
He advised selected lady pilgrims to submit original valid machine readable international passport with one colour passport size photograph and pay in slip of the deposited amount along with Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate to the State Haj Committee on or before May 30.
Mr Masihullah said other pilgrims who have already paid the first installment shall pay the last installment on or before June 20.
The payment for a second installment for the Green category will be Rs 85,900 while Rs 48,850 for Azizia category in which the amount of Qurbani was included. The total expenditure has been fixed at Rs 2,77,750 for Green category and Rs 2,40,700 for the Azizia category.
