Anantapur: Just as in cricket betting, punters are betting on polling station-wise majority at the Assembly level segment in the region. Gamblers are encouraging betting on booth-wise majority and also total majority.
Sources said that betting is targeted to Assembly constituencies where tough competition is being witnessed and surveys are unable to predict results due to several parameters. Most betting has been for Pulivendula, Kuppam and Hindupur Assembly segments. Sources said that betting had now reached the mandal-level including booth-level majorities.
In Madakasira, TD and YSRC cadres are reportedly betting over the majority in polling booth levels. A leader from the town revealed that there was clarity about the results and betting had changed towards different levels.
Cricket betting punters have been organising political betting.
Punters are concentrating on the Rapthadu Assembly segment where survey reports were unclear. In the Rapthadu segment, Paritala Sriram is contesting from the TD and T. Prakash Reddy from the YSRC.
Surveys from pro YSRC sources indicate victory chances for the YSRC candidate while TD party supported surveys pointed to chances for Sriram to gain in the polls.
