Kamal Hassan meets CM Pinarayi Vijayan, praises LDF rule
KOCHI: Actor-turned politician Kamal Hassan said that the failure of the BJP to form a government in Karnataka is the beginning of the democratic forces joining hands to beat back the fascist elements. Speaking to reporters after having a nearly 30-minute minute meeting with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Kochi on Sunday Kamal Hassan stressed the importance of the unity of democratic and secular forces.
He said he called on Pinarayi to invite him for the inaugural function of his party Makkal Neeti Mayyam scheduled to be held in Coimbatore. The date of the function will be decided later. Praising the two-years ruling by the LDF government in the state, he said the Pinarayi has offered full support to his political party. On the possibility of his party joining the LDF in Kerala he said his party is too young for such an alliance.
