JEE Advanced 2018: Allotment of centres faulty, say students

Siddharth Mani took to social media to say, “I was given my fifth preference which is nearly 3,000 km away.

Hyderabad: The JEE Advanced was conducted online for the first time, and students complained that the centres were ill-prepared. Some were given distant centres.

Siddharth Mani took to social media to say, “I was given my fifth preference which is nearly 3,000 km away. How can you expect a student who is giving a very important exam to spend time travelling to the centre?" Many students hoped those who apply next year will get centres closer home. IIT-Kanpur's Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi said, “A lot of students have complained about lack of air conditioning and ventilation. We thought it would be addressed as it was all online centres. Next year, we have to hold an inspection of centres.”
