Hyderabad sees three cars catch fire

The car caught fire due to battery short circuit and within no time the fire spread rapidly.

Hyderabad: In a multiple fire incidents three cars were burnt.

The first one was Chevrolet which was burnt in Dilsukhnagar when the owner of the car was returning from work last night at 3am.

The car caught fire due to battery short circuit and within no time the fire spread rapidly.

As the owner of car was alert he stepped out immediately and informed the fire department. One fire fighting tender and a mist bullet was rushed to the spot said the station fire officer.

He added, “The entire car was gutted into flames and there was no scope of saving any spare part of the car. The main reason for fire to spread fast was the leakage in the battery. No casualty was reported as the owner stepped out of the car as soon as he noticed the smoke erupting from the bonnet.”

The other two cars were burnt in the Tappachabutra PS limits. These cars were seized by police and parked near the community hall. The inspector of police Tappachabutra said, “The cause of fire is not known as it was an accidental fire, however we assume that the fire might have broke out due to the heat. But the fire was doused off with the help of firemen from the fire department. No major loss took place and also there were no casualties as the cars were abandoned.”
