Bengaluru: Parvathamma still critical
Bengaluru: Mrs Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of legendary Kannada actor Dr Rajkumar, remained critical even on Saturday. A team of specialists at M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, who are monitoring her health, said that she is still on ventilator.
Mrs Parvathamma, who is also a film producer and distributor, was admitted to hospital as she was suffering from respiratory and kidney-related ailments. "She continues to be in assisted ventilation without a change in state. She has, however, been taken off renal dialysis as her creatinine levels are returning to normal. Her vital parameters are within normal limits. She is stable as of Saturday, but is still critical," said a spokesperson from Ramaiah Hospital, where she has been admitted for the last one week.
Actor Shivarajkumar, the eldest son, said that as long his mother is on ventilator, the family is worried, but her condition is better compared to the first day when she was put on ventilation.
"I request the public to stay away from rumours. The doctors and family members will constantly update them on her health condition. There is no need to panic and do not pay heed to rumours. We had shared with the public Appaji's health conditions, and we will continue to do so even with Amma's. She has always been a fighter and we hope that she will pass this one too. We need prayers and all your support in these difficult times," he said.
