Telangana: Schools get notice for staying open
Summer holidays were declared three days early in view of the heat.
Hyderabad: The Telangana state government declared summer holidays for schools from April 20, but some of the schools in the state capital, especially CBSE affiliated schools, functioned as usual on Thursday, according to parents.
Summer holidays were declared three days early in view of the heat. Hyderabad district education officer G. Ramesh stated the department had got information about a few schools in Yousufguda and other areas conducting classes despite instructions given on Wednesday.
He said notices would be given from the education department seeking their explanation. According to parents, Suchitra Academy, Sarathi School, St. Andrews, Global Edge, Phoenix Green were some of the schools that functioned on Thursday.
