J&K: 9 killed, 6 injured as jeep skids off, falls into gorge near LoC
The mishap took place near the Khalana village, about 70-km southeast of Muzaffarabad.
Srinagar: Nine persons were killed and six others injured when a jeep skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge along a mountain road close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday.
A report received in Srinagar from across the de-facto border said that the mishap took place near the Khalana village, about 70-km southeast of Muzaffarabad.
The injured have been rushed to medical facilities at Chakothi, the first town when entering PoK from Uri in Jammu and Kashmir, and nearby Hattian. The seriously injured were later shifted to main hospital in Muzaffarabad, the report said.
