Coimbatore: Two surrender in atheist murder

Though there was no proof against their involvement in the murder, the advocates said they have surrendered

Coimbatore: Two more persons including the brother-in-law of ‘Kitchan’ Buhari, an accused in the bomb blast case in Bengaluru, surrendered before a court in Coimbatore on Monday in connection with the sensational murder of the rationalist and atheist Farooq.

An alleged habitual offender, A Saddam Hussain, 28, brother-in-law of bomb blast accused serving prison in Bengaluru, and U Samsuddin, 31, surrendered in the court with regard to the murder. Though there was no proof against their involvement in the murder, the advocates said they have surrendered as they surfaced in the list of suspects by police. Both were sent on remand for 15 days and have been lodged at the Coimbatore Central prison.
