Hyderabad: The Osmania University needs three months just to release the semester exam results. Post graduation students studying in the university and its affiliated colleges are irked at the inordinate delay in releasing semester results by the university.
Those studying in second and fourth semesters of various PG courses will be sitting for their second internal exams for this semester from Monday. However, they have no idea how they performed in the previous semester for which exams were conducted in December last year. A student from the Arts College in OU said, “Whether it be starting a semester, conducting hostel admissions or PhD admissions, everything is delayed in the university. There is delay even in appointment of a vice chancellor for the university. While some students are irritated, others have got used to the delays."
When contacted, a senior official of the examination department said, “The delay is due to double evaluation of papers. It will take around seven-10 days more for the results to be released.”
