Hyderabad: Congress Rajya Sabha member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao has sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention to probe the irregularities in the AP government’s construction of Amaravati capital city.

In a letter to the PM, Dr Rao stated that though the PMO promised that it would look into the matter, there was no response from other ministries like the Environment, Forest and Climate Change with regard to environment clearance accorded by the state-level Environment Impact Assessment Authority for the 217-sq km city.
