K M Mani not welcome; LDF can't be adulterated: CPI
Thiruvananthapuram: CPI has reacted sharply to CPM central committee member E.P. Jayarajan's statement that K.M. Mani was a leader with mass base and the doors of LDF were open for him. CPI central secretariat member Pannyan Raveendran reacted sharply to the development saying that no one would be able to adulterate the LDF.
“None can adulterate LDF which comprises political parties having no affiliation to caste or religious groups. Only a formidable Left Democratic and Secular platform will be able to counter the threat posed by the communal and fascist forces to the country. There is no room for two opinions on this matter,” he added. He said the first Left government in the state had laid the foundation for socio-economic development of the state based on the principle of social justice. “The successive governments of the LDF had carried forward the development model,” he said.
The CPI leader said at a time when Narendra Modi government was implementing divisive agenda and undermining constitutional bodies, it is important for the Left and secular forces to join hands and counter the challenge posed by commuanl forces. Pannyan said in Kerala the LDF was at centre of all forces fighting against the communal and divisive forces. The need of the hour is to strengthen the left, democratic and secular movement and move forward from strength to strength.
