Telangana, AP Bank of Baroda peon aspirants stage protest
Hyderabad: Aspirants of sweeper-cum-peon posts in Bank of Baroda from both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states held a protest at an examination centre here on Monday. Nearly, 15,000 candidates have appeared for the exam in the city.There were server problems during the online test for the first batch at a centre located in Dilsukhnagar.
An official from Bank of Baroda, Y. Janaki Ram, said the exams were organised by a private agency, Endusurge. “The exam was scheduled in four shifts – 8am to 10am, 10.30am to 12.30am, 1pm to 2 pm and 2.30pm to 4.30pm. A few server problems occurred at the Dilsukhnagar centre. When we came to know of this, we rushed in there. It was a problem with the agency.
As the agency did not allow the candidates soon after the rectification of the problem and allowed other batch candidates, this led to massive protests by nearly 200 candidates,” he said.The candidates raised slogans against the bank and the agency.
