Rajiv Pratap Rudy questions CPM's moral right to preach peace in JNU

\"Nationalism cannot be debated and national security cannot be compromised.\"

KOCHI: Union Minister for Skill Development and BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that the BJP will unleash a campaign to expose the double standards of CPM on the issue of violence in the light of its offensive on JNU incidents and their aftermath.

"A BJP delegation will meet the President Pranab Mukherjee to petition him on the murder politics followed by CPM in Kannur. CPM does not have any moral ground to preach peace over the JNU episodes," Mr Rudy told DC on the sidelines of the SmartCity inauguration here on Saturday.

On CPM making the JNU episode a poll plank in Kerala, he said nationalism is non-negotiable. "Nationalism cannot be debated and national security cannot be compromised."

Mr Rudy said that BJP central leadership is feeling some undercurrents happening in the state politics. When asked what the Central leadership proposed to do on the dilly-dallying by Vellapalli Natesan-led Bharatiya Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) on the alliance with BJP, he said that the past and present presidents of the state BJP, have been entrusted with the task of dealing with the issue as well as forging any other alliance and taking back people to party.
