B V Ramana dropped from Tamil Nadu cabinet

Meanwhile, in an AIAMDK release, party supremo Jayalalithaa said Ramanaa was being relieved†as party's Tiruvallur west secretary.

Chennai: Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Saturday dropped minister for milk and dairy development B.V. Ramanaa from the cabinet.

An official press release here said Governor K. Rosaiah had accepted the recommendation of the Chief Minister to drop Ramanaa and allot the portfolio held by him to P. Mohan, minister for rural industries and labour with immediate effect, in addition to the portfolio held by the latter.

Meanwhile, in an AIAMDK release, party supremo Jayalalithaa said Ramanaa was being “relieved” as party’s Tiruvallur west secretary.

She announced the temporary appointment of M. Ganesan, secretary of AIADMK Kancheepuram West, in place of Ramanaa till someone else was appointed. No reason was given for the removal of Ramanaa from the cabinet as well as the party post.
