Hyderabad: Two killed in 2 separate road accidents
Hyderabad: A second year engineering student from Khammam was killed in a road accident when the bike he was travelling in was hit by a speeding lorry at Dulapally in Pet Basheerabad on Sunday morning.
The victim identified as P. Balaraju, 20, was pursuing second year engineering at CMR Engineering College.
Pet Basheerabad police said that Balaraju was travelling towards Alwal from Gandi Maisamma at around 8.30 am. When his bike reached Dulapally junction, a lorry rammed his bike from the rear.
The student fell on the road and his head was crushed after it came under the lorry’s tyre. Death was instant as he was not wearing a helmet. Police registered a case against the lorry driver and shifted the boy’s body to Gandhi Hospital.
In another road accident, a police head constable working in Sangareddy was killed when a speeding tipper rammed his bike from the rear at Raidurgam on Saturday night.
According to Raidurgam police, Mohammed Sofee, 46, a head constable at Central Crime Station in Kandi was going towards Sangareddy on Saturday night. When he reached the main road, a speeding tipper rammed his bike from the rear.
The head constable fell on the road and received multiple injuries to his head, resulting in instant death. Based on a complaint from his relative, a case was booked against the tipper driver.
