HYDERABAD: After increasing the salaries of contract lecturers working in government junior colleges, Deputy Chief Minister and education minister Kadiyam Srihari has decided to extend the same benefit to the contract staff working in degree and polytechnic colleges.
Mr Srihari cleared the files on Friday paving the way for the enhancement of salaries by 15 per cent. Degree college lecturers would now be paid Rs 31,500 as against their previous salary of Rs 21,000.
