But residents are not ready to accept this claim."
He stated the representatives of the association have demanded joint-survey and added, "JDLR will take up joint survey in the presence of representatives of the association."

BBMP chief engineer (storm water drains) Siddegowda said that demolition drive will not be halted at any cost and nobody will be spared if their property is sitting over SWD.
Drive on in Yelahanka zone
At Anantapur, falling under Yelahanka BBMP zone, works were on to clear encroachments by open fields over 2 acres 1 guntas of SWD.
Anti-encroachment drive continued on Friday at Kogilu Main Road, Jakkur, which had 40 open fields encroaching SWD.
Voluntary demolition at Patel’s Inn
When asked on the status of demolition at Patel's Inn, Basavarajappa said the apartment representatives have requested the civic body that they be allowed to demolish the encroached portion themselves. "Patel's Inn has encroached 6.5 guntas of SWD. They felt that if the civic body demolishes the encroachment it may damage other structures too. So they have taken up the demolition voluntarily."
