Higher secondary director P.K. Sudheer Babu is the new Kottayam collector.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet decides to give Public Works Department principal secretary G Kamala Vardhana Rao additional charge of Administrative Reforms Department.

Kerala Financial Corporation CMD Sanjeev Kaushik will have additional charge of principal secretary, Finance (Expenditure).

With Industries secretary Sanjay M Kaul going on training, finance expenditure secretary Dr Sharmila Mary Joseph has been posted as KSIDC MD. She will also hold the additional charge of secretary industries department. KSTP Project director Anand Singh will have additional charge of Road Fund Board CEO.

Dr Ratan U Kelkar posted as special secretary, agriculture department. He will have additional charge of Food Safety Commissioner.

Kottayam district collector B.S. Thirumeni has been posted as director, higher secondary education department. He will also have additional charge of commissioner entrance examinations.

The Cabinet approves the decision to hold Professional Students Summit on CUSAT campus in Kochi on February 7 involving 2000 best students drawn from professional colleges in the state.

The Kerala University (Senate and Syndicate) ordinance has been approved. The Cabinet recommends governor to promulgate the ordinance.

Four ordinances which could not be passed as Bills during the recent Assembly session will be re-promulgated. Rs 9.60 lakh has been sanctioned from chief minister's distress relief fund for the expenses incurred on arranging air ambulance for Swathi Shah who sustained injuries during her Kanyakumari -Kashmir solo bike expedition.
