Hyderabad: Cops want CCTV's for New Year bashes

The organisers should also provide security guards.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner of police has issued guidelines to managements of three star and above hotels, clubs and pubs with regard to New Year celebrations.

The managements of hotels and clubs who have planned events and programmes should apply to the Commissioner for permission 15 days in advance, the police said.

As per AP Public Safety (Measures) Enforcement Act, 2013, the organisers must ensure that CCTV cameras with recording facility have been installed at all entry and exit points. Cameras should also be installed at parking spaces. The organisers should also provide security guards.

“Decency of apparel, decency of dance and decency of acts, gestures, words has to be ensured by organisers. There should not be any obscenity and nudity and sound levels must be maintained at 45 decibels or less. The organisers are warned not to allow firearms at the venue and not sell passes/tickets above the capacity. Orderliness must be maintained inside the venue and no minors should be permitted in programmes organised for couples,” said the Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar.

“They should not serve liquor beyond the hours permitted by the excise department. It is the responsibility of the management of pubs to make necessary arrangements and provide cabs to tipsy customers,” the official added.

People whose blood alcohol level is more than 30 mg/100 ml blood will be booked and their vehicle will be seized,” the official said.
