Bengaluru police on a song to prevent crimes

The four-minute song describes the modus operandi of criminals in house-breaking thefts, robbery, chain-snatching and attention diversion.

Bengaluru: The city police, observing the crime prevention month, on Wednesday released an audio-video song to bring awareness among the public to prevent crimes.

Mr Subramani Shanubhoganahalli, a young policeman attached to the Byyappanahalli police station and a trained singer in Carnatic and Hindustani music, has lent his voice to the song to educate people about preventing crimes in the city. The four-minute song describes the modus operandi of criminals in house-breaking thefts, robbery, chain-snatching and attention diversion.

The police not only engaged the public in the video, but also requested the people to alert the police when someone contacts them to rent their house without proper documents and also for background check if found suspicious.

This is the third video released by the Byyappanahalli police and team this year. Earlier, they had released two videos on chain-snatching and drug awareness.
