Another BMTC bus runs over biker
Bengaluru: A day after a speeding BMTC bus knocked down two PU students on Mysuru Road, another BMTC bus, which was being driven rashly, mowed down a 24-year-old private company who was riding a two-wheeler, at KR Puram on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, Nooman Nuashad, was a resident of Kalyan Nagar in HBR Layout and was working as a graphic designer with a private software firm in ITPL. The police said that he is survived by his parents and two brothers, including a 14-year-old.
Around 8.45 am, while Nooman was riding towards his office, the BMTC bus which was heading towards Majestic from K.R. Puram rammed into his bike from behind and ran over him. Passerby immediately alerted the police and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The KR Puram traffic police seized the vehicle and arrested the driver, Rame Gowda. The police said that he was driving rashly and caused the accident.
