THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister's office termed the reports in a section of media that the state government had deliberately tried to avoid Prime Minister's visit to Ockhi affected areas on Tuesday. An official release here said the official information regarding the PM visit was received on December 16.
The message from PMO said that the Prime Minister may visit the state on December 18 and 19. The misleading reports have been given out at the behest of BJP people. Statement said the tentative schedule received from PMO did not mention about the places to be visited by PM after his arrival in Thiruvananthapuram. It was only in the confirmed programme schedule that specific place of visit and the meeting were included.
