Chennai: AIADMK senior and Fisheries Minister D. Jayakumar said his party would not be affected by the coming together of actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Asserting that their ‘alliance’ would not upset the fortunes of the AIADMK in any way he said the AIADMK faced and overcame several challenges from veterans in the past.
“A couple of actors don’t matter, at all,” Mr. Jayakumar said on Tuesday reacting Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth expressing his willingness to work with his friend Kamal Haasan, if situation arises, for the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu.
Later speaking to reporters Mr. Jayakumar said he would respond if actors criticise the State government on any issues.
