Hyderabad: “The TRS is saying that it will win 100 seats. The figure 100 represents Kauravas in Mahabharata, while the five mandals in Kodangal Assembly constituency represents the Pandavas,” said ex-MLA A. Revanth Reddy.
Mr Revanth Reddy filed his papers on Monday, the final day for nominations, from Kodangal constituency. Addressing the people afterwards, Mr Revanth Reddy said, “I was emotional when I filed the nominations today. I will serve the people of Kodangal until my last breath.”
He said, “Our government will be formed soon after the announcement of the election results.”
He said, “Kodangal will play an important role in the Congress government.”
He alleged that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was planning to destroy Kodangal with the help of some groups and promised to protect the constituency. He said, “If Harish Rao touches me, see what will happen. The people of Telangana will hunt the TRS like wild boars that are destroying the crop.”
He alleged that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had gone for early elections to make his son, caretaker minister K.T. Rama Rao, the Chief Minister. “But, the people of Telangana will not allow his dream to come true,” he added.
